Okay HGTV junkies. Okay aspiring home renovators, interior designers, homeowners. And yes, even you people who are convinced your home is the most beautiful. I’m calling you, because finally I have the After Pictures of my kitchen renovation! Cabinetmaker (I retracted the honorific of “Hot”) came by Monday night and gave me a CD with the pictures he took with his $4,000 camera. Or whatever. My camera cost about $100, so anything apart from photos taken with my Blackberry is going to look better than what I’d managed to shoot so far. Ready?!

Here are some of my favorite features of my kitchen: my refrigerator with french doors and a freezer drawer, my ultraquiet dishwasher, my three Garage Door cabinets, the bamboo finish, my custom cookbook bookcases, knickknack boxes and wine shelves, undercabinet lighting, the half-wall cap that matches my dining room furniture, and my pendant light that illuminates by one-person breakfast bar. I bought three pendants before I found the right one. And I have to show you this picture so you can see how cool my “garage doors” are. Photos of the living/dining room will come in April; I’ve still got a lot of furniture to shop for, rugs to buy, and whatnot before I will unveil those spaces for you.

Your post title sounds like ee cummings or Wallace Stevens. I will be stealing it presently.
Kitchen looks great – warm and functional. And appropriately, first thing to be moved in: kid art on the fridge!
GORGEOUS!! Thanks for sharing. If I were you I would now have no life other than rushing home after work to cook and hang out and drool over my new kitchen.
Love it!!! Can’t wait to see it in person!
Oh I am so glad you shared. Absolutely gorgeous.
