Today was supposed to be the day, the day everything got installed & the finishing touches got completed. Well, hold onto your hats for this shocker. The bathroom’s still not done.
One of the cabinets was built 8 inches too wide. They still have one coat of paint to apply. They installed my light upside down. There’s no molding, or light switch plates, or saddle. The bathroom door looks like it was stolen from an abandoned house (and it has no doorknob). My mirror frame has no mirror, my sink has no faucet.
However, apart from the cabinet (which needs to be rebuilt, I think, from scratch), all of the rest of it can in fact get done tomorrow, and they can take their workshop out of my dining room.
I must forebear. There’s a good chance I’ll have my home back by the weekend, and I don’t think I’m being delusional when I hazard such a bet.
