When I visit my brother and his family here in Lafayette, CO (altitude 5400 feet), I don’t run — I piano-drag. Or at least it always feels like I’m dragging a piano when I run here. Ah, altitude.
Ran a couple laps around the Lafayette Reservoir today, for a total of 4.2 miles in 41:10, which is basically about as fast as I can go at altitude while maintaining my breathing.
It was gorgeously sunny, with a nice cool undertone to the air. Am hoping for these exact conditions four our Title9k race on Sunday.
Otherwise, am just enjoying my niece, nephew, brother and sister-in-law’s company and hospitality.
