To all my local readers: Any and all crowd support is welcome, and will be received gratefully. I’ve appended a link to my pace chart, although everytime I look at it I think, perhaps I should have adjusted those times by 10 minutes upwards across the board, given how much trouble my calves and shins have been giving me the past several days. Let the famous TK pre-race refrain begin: I’m not feeling 100%. Click here for my PACE CHART
Race day wardrobe: gray RaceReady shorts, light pink tee-shirt or bright pink singlet (depending on weather), green little G, Nike Elite Zoom’s, pigtails (brown, curly), and a smile (alternating with fierce look of determination).
Brooklyn spectators: I’ll be wearing an orange bib, which means I’m funnelled up the left side of the street.
Here’s the official New York Road Runners Spectator Guide.
Here’s information on how you can watch the marathon on TV or online.
I sure wish I could be there to see you in your moment(s) of glory. Can I “stalk” your progress online?
I’ll look for you, and also drop you an e-mail on Saturday afternoon when I figure out exactly where I’ll be (prob somewhere on the UES).
Cool! I’ll look for you from my perch somewhere around the Willis Ave. bridge (aka “The Wall” — heh heh)!
Super-excited! We’ll try to get to the left side of 4th Ave. We’ll wave, but won’t slow you up. Run! Run like the wind!!
