If you are racing, tweet or email me your wave and anticiapted finishing time/pace per mile and I’ll add you to my “watch” list.
I’ll be at my usual corner at Vernon Boulevard and 45th Road in Long Island City, Queens. I stand on the near corner, on the runner’s right. This is right before Mile 14, and usually right after a water station and port-a-potties (there might be a chance they’ll change that this year, who knows.) I’ll probably be bundled up in a black puffy coat.
CLICK HERE to see my cheering corner on a map. (I couldn’t figure out how to embed the image from Google Maps. I suck.)
Additionally, I will be holding this sign and possibly ringing a cowbell.
NOW: run strong and beautiful. Be your freest, best self out there tomorrow. You are all little beacons of light, shining towards the finish.
10:40 start (trying to sneak in with everyone else at 10:10) 9:50 pace. Can’t wait to see you!
TK, I’ll be in the same area tomorrow. Our club is planning on being right by the 14 mile marker, which is just past the right turn past the water stop. Maybe I’ll see ya!
Ha- the return of the “Run Twitter People Run!” sign! Love it. I’ll be volunteering/watching/cheering from Mile 25.
Love the poster!
I’m wave 1, anticipated 3:40 or under (that’s 8:23s?).
OMG, love the sign! Hope to spot you tomorrow, cowbell and all! I start at 9:40, 6:50ish avg. pace.
I’ll look out for you. 9.40 start, looking at 9 minute pace for the first 15 miles or so, so should be at your spot somewhere around noonish.
Woop, see you tomorrow!
TK, a friend of mine is running. Name is Michelle Wells #11482 – not sure which wave. PB is about 3:22 so guess she’d be running 7:35 to 7:40 miles. Photo: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_E-hssDElat4/S-D06d1tTPI/AAAAAAAAFXA/tuBGSota05M/s1600/28327_387535931173_618286173_4382493_5831524_n.jpg
Give her a yell if you spot her – thanks!
I probably saw you, but I was in Long Island City for most of it since a few people I knew were running. I never realized how festive the environment was among the spectators. It was very cool
Great Twitter updates from the course – thanks!!
I swear I was looking for the sign! Don’t know how I possibly missed you – the low point of my day! 😦
